Bocan's roots are in Bursa, Turkey one of the historic capitals of the Silk Road, renowned for centuries as a source of royal silk and fine embroidery. We carry forward this Rumelian Turkish artisan heritage: every Bocan collection is meticulously handmade by artisans in our family atelier in Bursa, upholding a textile legacy that spans decades within our own family, and centuries within the region itself.

Small quantities, handmade with integrity: each design is manufactured in small batches, or fully custom-made as couture, to reduce waste and its climate impact. We use only natural and certified sustainable fibres and, as featured in Vogue Business, we localise our supply chain and logistics to reduce the time, cost and environmental footprint of returns. We also trace the origin of every material to the fabric mills in our own district of the Bursa region, reducing our carbon footprint at every stage.
This is also the promise of longevity: our timeless designs last longer and wear beautifully, and our atelier is always available to adjust, adapt and alter your pieces — including through our Made to Measure service.
